Natural Hair Removal -
Techniques
The problem with many hair
removal products is that they use chemicals and other
man-made substances that can irritate the skin. Fortunately,
there are many options that don’t use any chemicals and can
remove hair in a natural way. This article will discuss a
few of the most popular techniques.
Firstly, what is the definition of a natural hair removal
method? Most people would agree that it’s any technique that
doesn’t use a manmade chemical. For example, hair removal
creams wouldn’t be considered a natural hair removal product
while hair threading would be. Electrolysis and laser
therapy are definitely not natural hair removal methods
while waxing is. With our bodies consuming more and more
chemicals and substances each year it’s no wonder that
people prefer to use natural methods of hair removal.
Sugaring
Sugaring is a method of hair removal which is similar to
waxing but a lot less painful. Instead of using a wax that
sticks to the skin before being ripped off the sugars used
in sugaring only attach to the hairs which makes it a less
excruciating experience. That doesn’t mean that it’s going
to be pain free though – even pulling out a single hair can
be quite sore. Sugaring products that contain only natural
substances can be found in almost any health store making it
a good choice for natural hair removal.
Sugaring can be performed from the comfort of your own home
but in many cases it’s a better idea to pay a professional
to do it for you. They’ll be more adept at reducing the
amount of pain and will generally do a better job. You can
always ask to make sure that they’re only using natural hair
removal products.
Waxing
Using wax for hair removal is a practice that’s been around
for centuries but is still one of the most popular methods.
You should be careful when buying wax because not all
manufacturers use natural ingredients.
To safely wax yourself you need to make sure that the wax is
warm but not so hot that it burns the skin. Unlike sugaring,
waxing attaches to the skin rather than the hairs which is
why it’s more painful. It’s a very effective method of
natural hair removal though.
Home Remedies For Hair Removal
Aside from the obvious methods of natural hair removal such
as sugaring, waxing and tweezing there are also many home
remedies. A lot of these aren’t effective but there are some
that can work well on a temporary basis.
For example, some people claim that you can bleach your hair
naturally by using lemon juice. To apply lemon juice to your
hair for a long period of time you should mix it with
another substance such as honey and leave it on your skin
for around 10 minutes.
After doing this for a few consecutive days you should start
to notice a difference. This isn’t strictly a method for
natural hair removal but can help you to reduce the
visibility of the hair which is especially useful for facial
hair.
I wish you all the best on your
natural hair removal adventure!
